Evaluation Comments for Draper, A.

  1. I completely agree with what has been said. Would add that Draper is a very attentive professor, and organized for a theater professor. If you really want to get a lot out of this class then meet with him individually to get feedback on your monologues.
  2. Great class if you are a Theatre major, want to act better, or just want to be a good speaker. If you commit to it, you will definitely "free" your voice---not train it. Linklater technique is not at all about "training" your voice into some rigid ideal; it is about releasing your natural, true voice. I also found that the class helped relieve stress and tension in my body.
  3. This class is wonderful if you are a theater major. I felt a great difference in my vocal quality by the end. However if you are not a theater major, it is a completely useless class unless you want to learn how to breathe correctly. That being said Draper is always amazing to work with.
