Evaluation Comments for Skubikowski

  1. Difficult, but the Professor is wonderful and the class is fun.
  2. This is a huge jump up from first year intro italian. Starting the semester off with a nice discussion of fascism in Italy did not exactly ease the transition. My Italian did improve significantly, but classes were generally painful. Skubikowski expects single, very specific answers to his in class questions, and does not readily accept other potential ideas. Some of the reading was helpful, some of it seemed unnecessary, and most of it was boring (according to a science person...economics, politics, history, etc.) Only take this if you have to because of study abroad or a major. It's not a "fluff" course and involves a lot of writing on difficult issues.
