Evaluation Comments for Woodruff M

  1. This was the best class I have taken at Midd. Professor Woodruff is so cutely excited about the material. You'd be surprised how often you can apply the material to every class you'll the rest of you're career. Take this class.
  2. Woodruff is a great teacher and loves this material. She is incredibly smart and it definitely shows through in her lectures.I had a lot of fun in the class and found it both interesting and useful (phil major). It's not a lot of work, but the mid terms and finals are hard.
  3. An absolutely amazing class. The course turned out to be the polar opposite of what I had expected starting the term and I think most of that had to do with Professor Woodruff. I recommend this course to anyone, regardless of major
  4. Second class with Prof Woodruff and I love her even more than I already did. (I thought that wouldn't be possible!) This class is a phil major requirement and is great for grounding you in Western philosophy. Discussion in small lecture/conference style class. Manageable readings, essays, and exams. The content is fascinating. Try to take this class (or anything else with Woodruff). You won't be disappointed.
  5. The best philosophy class you could ever ask for! Woodruff is just the kind of person I would want to teach this material because she is so passionate and excited about the topic. The class atmosphere is very encouraging and inspring to anyone who is interested in philosophy.
  6. Woodruff is kind and brilliant. Disorganized at times, but very passionate about what she teaches. Not a superb class, as its boring at times, but not at all a bad one.
  7. The class atmosphere was friendly and open to a discussion of ideas and interpretations every time. Although there is not much to read, even the smallest texts can take the longest to understand. Complex ideas, but discussions in class always straighten things out. Good.
  8. While at first the class is a bit intimidating, Professor Woodruff helps to make confusing ideas less so, and certainly cares about Ancient Greek Philosophy. Class can be boring at times, but interesting if you get involved. Not too much reading, but pretty dense.
  9. the BEST class. take it! woodruff is phenomenal and the course content is absolutely fascinating.
  10. I loved this class and the professor was awesome!
