Evaluation Comments for Wang Y

  1. Wang laoshi is awesome. She is funny and very nice. Take Chinese with her!!
  2. chinese courses period are very demanding- as i am quickly finding out... but the relationships between everyone within the department is amazing... as a first-yr student, i have noticed that this is an extremely close-knit department and i already feel like a part of the community. the classes are amazing and the students are awesome- when upperclassmen here you speaking what chinese you know, they get excited and are so enthusiastic about the fact that you also chose to be a part of this experience... all of the professors are amazing and bring their own strengths to the classroom... wang laoshi is wonderful- very caring about her students... and not to mention she is soooo adorable ^_^
  3. Chinese is definitely an extremely hard course but Wang Laoshi in particular makes it okay. While you may come in stressed out over the characters you haven't learned and the grammar you can't figure out, one round of fourth tones with her or a smile on her face will brighten up your day. Truly one of the best teachers I've ever had.
  4. Wang Laoshi is a rockstar. She is like some amazing bassist to a really good band, that maybe she doesn't get the groupies and the people with signs saying, "Wang Laoshi, I want to have your baby out of wedlock," but, in fact, she groves on that bass guitar like a maniac. In conclusion, Wang Laoshi is a wonderful Chinese professor. Few things are more gratifying than a Wang Laoshi star scribbled on the chalkboard...just for you
  5. Wang Laoshi should be everyone's mom
  6. in complete agreement with the above comment
  7. Chinese is really hard, but if you are into Chinese it will be very rewarding. Biggest Truth: What you put in = What you will get out of Chinese Wang LaoShi is awesome. She is funny and gives students a great preview into Chinese culture.
  8. Wang Laoshi is truly amazing. It might sound silly, but a good deal of my cherished freshman memories revolve around Chinese and the tightly-knit circle friends I've made. Wang Laoshi might be favorite because she is so hilarious, but I love all of them, Du, Mu, Wu, Xu, Zhou. Xu's drills might be hard, but they might be the most worth it. Cultural note: don't show up late to class or talk or curse in class because it's mad disrespectful in Chinese culture. Advice for memorizing characters: don't write them repetitively, write each one just once, then try to write it again from memory 20-60 seconds late when you've almost forgotten it.
