  2. It's a really great class and enjoyable. If you are a Spanish speaker it is definately an advantage, if not, be prepared for a fast pace class; you will be playing catch up. It is taught at an accellerated level because the average student in the class has had multiple years of Spanish. I would definately give it a shot though, it's been fun.
  3. This is a great class! It's engaging and lots of fun, and even after just a short amount of time with the language, you feel that you have learned a lot. It's definitely worth taking!
  4. I loved first semester Portuguese!!! It was so much fun, and you come out of it as one big happy portuguese family. Kirsten is great, and makes it really easy to learn and improve. I recommend it, no matter what year you're in!!!
  5. Amazing class! Don't be scared off if you don't speak Spanish, though. As a speaker of another Romance language, I was fine, and the only people who had problems were speakers of non-European languages. Knowing Spanish can actually make it harder, since the languages are so similar. Prof. Ernst is amazing, and makes learning a massive amount in a short period exceptionally easy. Best class I've ever had at Midd.
  6. I loved this class-it was so much fun!! After the first week I already felt like I could speak portuguese. Kirsten is so much funa nd always has a ton of evergy. She puts a lot of time into her lesson plans and always had fun games and activites for us to do. For a beginning language, this class is pretty easy. It is a definite advantaqe if you speak spanish, but not completely necessary. I would highly recommend this class!
