  2. I feel as though my Spanish 101 class was a flashback to elementary school. Patricia caught me off guard because she is the first professor I have had at Middlebury that actually spoonfeeds you the basics so you can have a structured and confident foundation on which to build your skills. No where else on campus have I encountered this teaching style. Cherish it, because once you arrive at Midd...professors expect you to already know the material they teach.
  3. If you're going to take beginning Spanish, DEFINITELY take it with Patricia Saldarriaga. She's amazing! Class was fun literally every day, simply because Patricia is funny and smart and thinks of fun ways to get the class involved. The weekly essays are hardly a big deal (a few sentences about some topic that uses the vocab and verb stuff you learned that week), and the quizzes were easy if you followed along in class. This was a really great class, and I'm so glad I took it with Patricia. I learned so much while having a really fun time.
  4. Patricia is incredibly helpful and friendly, and I loved her sense of humor. She does speak rather quickly sometimes, but is very good at explaining this in Spanish so that you can understand them even at the intro level. Classes were always fun and interesting. I would highly recomend taking this class with Patricia if you can.
  5. Saldarriaga is great, she is a very engaging professor who keeps the class lively.
  6. I don't know what Patricia is like for higher-level courses, but for 101 she is perfect. The classes are so easy and relaxing and you learn exactly what's advertised. Just do the necessary preparation before each class and it will be a breeze
  7. This is an amazing course. Saldariagga is kind, patient, intelligent, and has great teaching skills. This class is probably equivalent to 3 years of my high school spanish courses. Saldarriaga, who is from Peru, manages to dumb down her vocabulary and tense usage to an understandable level, while still challenging us. I learned so much without putting in many hours per week.
  8. Patricia is an amazing teacher. She makes intro Spanish fun. The class is easy, laid back and interesting only because of the professor's sense of humor. If you're going to take intro Spanish then there's no better than Patricia
  9. Patricia is an amazing teacher! she's hilarious and friendly-- a good atmoshpere to learn spanish in.
  10. I took this class so that I can study abroad.
