Evaluation Comments for ward

  1. Ward is an excellent lecturer--very organized, uses a healthy balance between powerpoint slides and elaborating on subjects, very knowledgable. He definitely isn't "your friend," and he tries a little too hard to make you an independent worker (he made me look up the name of a guest lecturer rather than just tell me her name), but he is definitely there if you need help on a particular topic. Tests are fair and not too tedious. Awesome goatee.
  2. Professor Ward is a true gentleman scholar. His class is well designed, lectures are enguaging (sometimes even funny), and the material is very valuble. His grading is fair, and standards of grading stay the same from test to test. Tests are predictable, and well designed to test how well you know the material. They are graded fairly too. There really isn't much bad about this course. That said, if you know a lot about cell bio and genetics, try to test out of the course, as it would be extremely easy with a little bit of studying.
  3. A very good class, a lot of work if you're just planning to take it for fun, though
  4. This class was amazing I love Ward, the lab however killed it for me and brought my grade down (got and A- though). Super easy if you read the book and go to lectures. And if you've taken AP bio it will be a cake walk
