  1. When people ask me what my favorite class at Midd has been, I respond with Dev Bio with Catherine. She is an absolutely wonderful professor for this course, and is very fair. If you feel overly-stressed by the workload, she is willing to work with you. The labs were incredible. We took hearts out from a chick embryo... it was unbelievable! Definitely take this class. The workload is totally worth it.
  2. This course is absolutely amazing and one of the best I've taken at Middlebury. Catherine is an amazing professor: incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to help you. The things you get to do in this lab are incredible: manipulating chick embryos' developing hearts, fertilizing sea urchin eggs, c. elegans rnai work etc. This class is a lot of work (especially independent lab work), but it really is manageable. If you're really interested in biology, definitely take this course!
  3. Catherine is my favorite professor on this campus. She is an amazing professor and is very fair. You must take this class no questions about it. It is truly fascinating 100% worth it!!!
  4. Catherine is one of the best in the department - extremely nice, very engaging, and legitimately passionate about what she's teaching. One of the best lecturers I've ever had - explains confusing material in a perfect way. The labs were very interesting and engaging as well. Having said that, prepare to work harder than any other class (except MAYBE 250), and it will dominate your semester.
