Evaluation Comments for White L

  1. White-sensei is not technically a Japanese professor so her teaching style was very different from the other teachers. However, she is an incredible woman who's very open to ideas and questions. Her lectures were a little dull, but overall, she's pretty good in teaching Japanese.

  3. The Japanese program at Middlebury is overall very disappointing and isn't any better than the same course at any other school even though Midd's focus is language. All of the teachers avoid talking about Japanese culture, which is essential to understanding many part of the language. If you want to take a non-western language, take Chinese, not this class. At least it's an easy A!
