  2. Professor Ward is a very talented lecturer. His knowledge of genetics is extensive, and can field practically any question. He has great insight into what is really interesting in the class, and as a result, the lectures were something I made sure not to miss just because they were fabulous.
  3. Ward gave an intriguing lecture every time in a class of 90 students, plus I agree with the above positive comments.
  4. This is one of the hardest classes I've taken at Midd. The quizzes are not at all what I thought they would be on--they are VERY specifique. The labs are not that hard, but they were returned to me with some of the most nit-picky grading I've ever received. My big suggestion: do NOT take this class if you have never taken a serious lab science course before. My high school science program was not very strong and I didn't take AP Biology, and I was definitely struggling in this class. Many kids who had taken this class had taken AP Biology, and I think they were a lot better off. Professor Ward is a great guy, though, and that almost makes it worse if you're not doing well in his class.

  6. J Ward is a phenomenal professor. He's one of the lucky few in this world gifted with both genius and social graces. I never left a lecture confused, yet am convinced that Ward could be running a research lab, were that his goal. Ward is a gentleman and a scholar. Good form.
  7. Ward is great, both for lecture and for lab. I definitely taking this class with him and not with anyone else.
