  2. Frank Winkler is probably one of my favorite people at Middlebury. He's quirky, funny, enthused, intelligent and a great professor. I am not at all a science person and I got a lot out of this class. It's a ton of work - chapters to read each week, problem sets that took me a long time, labs and write ups, plus studying for the 3 exams. Frank is hilarious in class and helpful if you need him. He sets up study sessions with TA's on Thursday before the homeworks are due. The key to making a good grade is turning labs and homeworks in on time and doing a decent job on the tests.
  3. This is an amazing class, even if you have no interest in math or science, take it!
  4. Definetly take this class because there is not much work and learning about astronomy is really interesting and awesome
  5. This class sounds very cool, but there wasn't as much actual star gazing as I was hoping for. Be ready for an assignment set each week involving tough physics equations. The work might be easy if you're a math/science person, but if you're not then definitely avoid this class.
