Evaluation Comments for Mittell, J.

  1. I loved this class because of my interest in new world technologies and their impact on our society today. I learned so much about the different avenues of media and how they affect us. There are weekly blog discussions and readings, and media projects every other week that are a lot of fun to learn and do overall. You may not enjoy this course as much if you aren't technologically-savvy, but it is definitely interesting.
  2. Unless you absolutely must take this class, avoid it at all costs.
  3. This class was definitely the worst class I have had to suffer through at Middlebury. The content was very uninteresting and repetitive...I felt like we talked about the same stuff all semester. You have to do online discussion once a week, write 4 papers, and do a huge final project which is absolutely miserable. Unless you are VERY interested in technology theory, do NOT take this course. Ugh.
