Evaluation Comments for Sanchez-Sibony, O

  1. This class was atrocious. Sanchez didn't seem to care about the material and neither did the students. The discussions were silent. No one made any comments, about ANYTHING. The exam essay questions were ludicrous. Give a history of the 1917 revolution, before and after, in 25 minutes? I would never recommend this class to anyone. I didn't learn anything new and felt like it was an utter waste of my time.
  2. Sanchez is horrible. His lectures are random and do not have any focus or purpose. He gives his lectures off of notes that look like either his thesis from graduate school or just his notes from graduate school. He does not present the material from a conceptual standpoint, instead focusing on completely useless facts and anecdotal stories. Also, he completely goes out of chronological order for no particular reason, except that that is where his mind leads him. He seemed unfocused and uncaring throughout the course. The readings are usually boring and typically are from arcane sources. Most of the discussions are largely silent because neither he nor the students care about the readings. his essay topics are usually incomprehensible.
