Evaluation Comments for Mitchell D

  1. I love Don Mitchell, he is such a great man and teacher. I am so sad he is retiring this year because I would love to take another class with him. He is so helpful and he cares so much about his students. His efforts to keep the class interesting were unreal, especially the birthing of the lambs. I had so much fun in this class, I wish I could take it again.
  2. I loved this class. You read important literature like Emerson, Thoreau, Blake, etc. plus some really beautiful literature, like Dillard and Leopold. Mithcell is one of the best lecturers I've had - brilliant, insightful, and best of all, an old hippie. He even has each student spend the night in his barn with a small group to watch his lambs being born. He's great at helping you develop your writing, and discussions were great. If you do the reading (which isnt too much) and go to class, you'll get a good grade. Not much to complain about in this course!
