  3. This class was rough. Lots of reading and writing, and prett disorganized. It didn't help that the class was gigantic, but that probably won't happen again. I'd say try to take it with another professor because you have it take it if you're a religion major.
  4. This class is a ton of work. It was nice because it was a very small seminar and professor Schine is nice, but it's a lot of reading, a lot of writing, and though it's the only course required for the major, I didn't think that much of it was particularly relevant to the rest of my religion major. It made me realize that I don't think the study of religion in general is nearly as interesting as the study of specific religions. Don't plan to take this class in combination with a bunch of other work-intensive classes like I did, or you'll feel overwhelmed. I often enjoyed discussion, because having a bunch of religion majors all in the same place bringing in their very different knowledge of religions is fascinating, but being unprepared is not really an option, especially when the class is this small. It's really obvious when you haven't done the reading. There are 4 5-page papers plus a 3 page precis (like a more intense version of a response paper) every week.
