Evaluation Comments for Yarbrough, O

  1. I thought it was a great class, based in the historic and literary sphere. This isn't a theological class, so don't expect explanations of Christianity and their doctrines. It's a class based on the text of the New Testament, the debatable scholarly issues within the text, and how we can read the New Testament to better understand the writing itself and the time period. Yarbrough is a true scholar,(as are most people who know Greek, Hebrew, and Latin), but he's also a very good teacher. He'll help you through the text and provide specific examples that are usable on the exam and in papers. Overall, really good course.
  2. Yarbrough is a bit of a devil's advocate, but gets you thinking.
