  2. This class was a terrible choice for me. Over 50% of the time I left that classroom I started ranting to somebody about how much I disliked the class. The other 90% of the class likes it more than I did, but as a person with no real strong feelings about art, I strongly discourage people making the same mistake as I did. That said, it hasn't been terribly difficult. The most difficult part for me is feigning an interest in Pollock, Alan Greenberg, etc. There is a long section in the middle of the semester where every student gives a 20 minute (or a dragged-on 60 minute in most cases) presentation about a night's reading where there is literally zero incentive to do the reading, and zero incentive to pay any attention to the presenter, so for 14 classes straight one can easily mess around on the computer during class with no repercussions. Vazquez is a great guy, though, and has helped me find a path for all of my papers.
