Evaluation Comments for Price D

  1. Professor Price is the man. He is funny and extremely intelligent. His lectures consisted of him talking about the select stories for that week, and in discussion we talked together about a single story in small groups. No mid-terms or final, one or two paper assignments (one was optional) and a 36-story reading journal. This class was pretty interesting too, most of the stories are fun to read. Very relaxed atmosphere, and he knows how busy college students are so he's flexible in that respect. Very minimal work, great professor, take it if you're not looking for a lot of work!
  2. If English isn't your thing, this class might be nap time. Luckily, you don't need to know any fancy terminology to interpret the stories because they are all pretty straightforward. Price is a funny guy, but he rambles. He says that discussion section is supposed to be led by the students, but he can never shut up. Very friendly, though, and if you want a break in your workload...
  3. Price is one of those guys who is so smart that he ends up just talking to himself during lecture, referring to things that the class may or may not comprehend. If you do pay attention though, what he has to say is very insightful and interesting. He's also pretty funny. You don't have to have perfect attendance, he's understnading of how busy college students are. It's a great class to take when the rest of your schedule looks pretty difficult.
  4. It is a joy to hear David Price talk about books. This course gives a lot of fun for not much work, and it is really fun.
  5. David Price was a delight and this course was my favorite this fall. It was not demanding but I was exposed to a range of authors and stories. His lectures are enjoyable to listen to and he brings a lot to the material. The evaluations consist of a few casual papers and was very relaxed.
