Evaluation Comments for Faraone, C.

  1. I took this course because it's a requirement for the theatre major; I wouldn't recommend it if you're not a major unless you really want to learn about theatre history. That being said, most of the learning in this course is on you. Cheryl knows what she's talking about, but her teaching style is not very didactic and sometimes what she's saying will go over your head. Make sure you do all the reading so that you learn all of the history; the lectures won't necessary clarify it. I hear that if you take the class with Claudio it's much tougher, but that as a result you learn a lot more.
  2. Interesting class and Cheryl is a good professor, although she goes off subject rather frequently. The class is required for majors, and I would only recommend it to non-majors if they're really interested in theatre history.
