Evaluation Comments for Kramer, K.

  1. Prof. Kramer definitely seemed a bit cold/rigid at the start of the semester, but she warmed up to the class over time. The material was fine, nothing too special. The workshop setting was nice though and I got to know the other students pretty well by the end of the semester, which was great. Kramer isn't a particularly hard grader; I don't think anyone received below a B, though that's understandable given how self-selecting fiction workshops are.
  2. I don't understand why Prof. Kramer gets some bad reviews on Middkid. Sure, her lectures are not brilliant like Rob Cohen's, but she's very approachable and warm and her class atmosphere is friendly. She's also always available and willing to talk or help out with student work. She picked readings based on student preferences and included some less conventional works such as electronic-lit as well (although this might not be everyone's cup of tea). All in all, a great creative writing class at Midd. Take it.
