  2. What a cool class. The format is straightforward - we went through several influential American women poets, spending a week or two on each one. Professor Millier is a friendly and personable discussion leader who makes you feel safe in sharing your interpretations. I really enjoyed preparing for the class since it was basically just reading poetry and some critical essays. The two big papers are open-ended and she's usually available to help. Overall, this was a satisfying literature course and I came out of it with a lot of new favorite poets and poems.
