Evaluation Comments for Napier E

  1. The material is pretty random but for the most part really interesting. The class was constructed so that essentially all of the reading for the class was done before Spring Break and tested in a midterm. After Spring Break, apart from a couple articles all focus was on your final research paper. Professor Napier is enthusiastic about his work and really enjoys his students. It's definitly a worthwhile class to experience.
  2. I thought the material was fascinating, and Napier is an engaging lecturer...but he can be frustrating. The exercises were irrelevant and graded arbitrarily, and he often could not answer questions about what exactly he expected of us. The final was strange. However, the material was so good that I decided to be an anthro minor.
