  2. O'Connor is fantastic; kind, easygoing, and never condescending. I thought this was a great intro language course and that the repetition is key to perfecting your pronunciation and speaking skills.
  3. The gripes I have with this class are embedded in the nature of an introductory language class and not with the material or the professor. You will answer questions like "what's the weather like?" and "what's happening in the movie (part of the French In Action program that all fren 0101 classes use)?" dozens of times. This became tedious as I would have preferred an accelerated version of this course. However, I still recommend this class and O'Connor to anyone interested in the French language. She does an unbelievable job. If you take the time to notice it, you will be incredibly impressed by her ability to speak fluently, but ALWAYS with a vocabulary that everyone can understand. I can't recall her ever saying a sentence that I couldn't immediately understand (and I had never taken French before this class). She is nice, very creative with how she teaches the class -- for example, she once brought in antiquated French checks and Francs to help us understand counting and money exchanges in French -- and she never ignores a question. She is one of the nicest and most understanding people I have encountered, period.
