  3. Enrique is a really nice guy but not a very good teacher. I felt like I could have just not gone to class since I taught myself all the material out of the textbook anyways. Also, a lot of english was spoken, which upset me because midd is supposed to have amazing language programs. I would suggest taking this with another professor if at all possible. However, don't decide not to take spanish just because it'll be a below average professor (by midd standards, not in general) for one semester. Also, when we took this class Enrique had a pretty tough semester so that could have contributed to the subpar teaching. In terms of general information about the class quizzes every day, test every friday, paragraph due every monday and workbook (10-15pg) due every Friday. I wish I would have gotten more out of the class but I am so much happier with my professor this semester that it was worth it to take the class if necessary
  4. Professor Garcia is the nicest, but he might not be the best teacher. He is not very good at explaining things and sometimes it's difficult to tell what he is trying to say. He is fun and he tries to make classes interesting. However, when I missed a few classes, I simply made them up by reading the text book and going over them with the CTLR Spanish tutor. He is very lenient and understanding though. So if you are keen in laying a good foundation for your Spanish, take this class with another professor. If you are looking to get an A- or A, take this class with Professor Garcia. Finish all the tedious work (especially the workbook and the lab book) and do well in tests - you'll be happy with this class.
