Evaluation Comments for Gamero De Coca

  1. Juana is great! Very friendly and smart and helpful and makes you apply your Spanish outside of the grammar in the textbook...we had to talk about euthanasia one day.
  2. Juana is probably the best teacher I've ever had. She had us talking in Spanish about complex world issues at the beginning of the semester. Class was never boring.
  3. Juana is one of the best teachers I have had so far at Middlebury. She takes the time to remember personal details, so that each student feels important and included. As a 103-level Spanish class, I was amazed at how quickly she got us to talk on social and political issues. She combines grammar with anecdotes so that it's easier to remember. Her tests and assignments are easy and usually cover a broad knowledge of the language instead of focussing on one chapter or topic. Class is never boring with her and she always finds ways to make it fun. Definitely take a class with Juana, if nothing then just for the atmosphere in her classes. I made some really close friends in her class because of all the discussions she asks us to initiate amongst ourselves.
