Evaluation Comments for Dickerson M

  1. I came into the class not knowing much about computers and was very lost, Professor Dickerson doesn't help explain much and isn't available very often either. The tutor was unhappy about helping people and I got frustrated a lot -- lots of hours of work (get ready). However, once I got a handle on the program it was SO cool! I recommend the program, I've learned a lot and will continue to learn about computers, anything you learn in CS is valuable
  2. This class provides a good overview of the major concepts behind modeling, really, anything in the world. A really wide variety of majors can find interesting ways to model concepts in their field. Professor Dickerson very clearly loved his subject. While some of the assignments that he assigned were WAY more work than was reasonable, he was usually very open to negotiation on some of the assignments, and graded extremely reasonably when it came to grading them.
