Evaluation Comments for West D

  1. A good introduction to geology. Don't buy the textbook, as Dave covers all of the exam material in lectures. We visited sites all around Vermont each week on our field trips, which added a meaningful experiential component to the class (we hiked Snake Mountain!). Dave is a clear lecturer, and the class was relaxed.
  2. This class was awesome! Take a class with Dave! He knows his stuff and lectures are not boring. The labs are interesting and not hard to understand. Dave will help you with anything if you need the help. Exams aren't hard if you study and pay attention in class.
  3. This is an easy, fun, class. The lectures are interesting, Dave is a friendly, helpful professor, and labs are almost all outdoors. The labs are easy to write up, and pertain to the material learned in class.
  4. This is a really fun and interesting class for science people and non-science people. Lectures are enjoyable and Dave has a great way of presenting material. Labs are all outside and while write-ups are a bit tedious, people tend to do well on them. This was a great class and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
