  2. Incoming freshmen: Looking for a great first-year seminar? If you can, take this class! It delves deep into the issues surrounding global warming and the environment, namely how to motivate people to think about the issues differently, change their behaviors, and take action. There is a strong psychology component, but it's not that big if you're not into that particular subject. The atmosphere is very friendly and supportive, and the reading are fascinating. Highly recommended.
  3. The course materials are very interesting: Michelle did an alright job with it. Some of the books were very interesting. Every class is a discussion, which can often become tangents, but are also usually quite interesting. She is underprepared and our class did not receive a concrete grade the whole semester, which some liked and some didn't. This class did inspire me to continue with environmental studies. Of note was the term research paper, on a topic of your choice, which you then present to the class. A great chance to delve into ES issues.
