Evaluation Comments for Barbaud-McWilliams, M.

  1. Mireille is the cutest. Her enthusiasm is contagious.
  2. Taking this class as a CW might get a bit too stressful (like it did for me). There are 4 papers and a partiel for a regular section, and 6 papers + partiel for CW. Having said that, McWilliams is very understanding, and allows great flexibility with essay topics and sometimes provides a choice of books on which you could write them. Overall, this is a very quick and brief survey of French literature. Definitely don't expect anything too in depth (except perhaps the first book that takes over first 2 weeks of class).
  3. I took this class for CW credit, and it was great. The readings were average in terms of interest level, but classroom discussions were very comfortable. Mme. McWilliams is a very laid-back grader and is always very encouraging.
  4. Mireille is the best
