Evaluation Comments for Witkin M

  1. Witkin is an incredible professor. It seems as though he knows everything about the material being discussed. He does go off on tangents all the time, but the information he gives is always pretty relevant and interesting. if you have any interest in Greek Myth, and tragedy or drama specifically definitely take this class. He's a fair grader and it's really not too much work
  2. Professor Witkin is really, really smart. On one end this is great, since he can explain pretty much any question you have that's relevant to what he's talking about. On the other hand, this means that he gets stuck on tangents all the time (literally every class). This is only bad because some of the points he makes about the plays we study are really complicated, and his tangents make the relevant material hard to pick up. The plays we read are really interesting, and reading Poetics at the end really ties in philosophy to all the dramas. Short version: good class, not too hard, a little bit boring sometimes. (and the classes are 1hr 15min, just fyi)
