  1. Ricardo is such a lovely teacher. Very friendly and always willing to help. Some of his class discussions are a little on the metaphorical/philosophical side but the way he structured our class was really chill. Reading was manageable, only about 1-2 short stories for every class and then a 1.5 double spaced reflection every week (and the "exams" only about 3 pages). It seemed that he only graded our assignments by grammar mistakes which I guess is fair. He was very good about encouraging our own interpretation and personal connection to the texts as opposed to analytical essays. Although he let us use dictionaries for reflections which was quite helpful, he doesn't teach much vocab or grammar. All around a manageable class for someone placed into the 300 level.
  2. I've never enjoyed a spanish class as much as i enjoyed this one! I think that the material that we were studying and the stories we were reading were cool, but the thing that made this class INCREDIBLE is Ricardo! Such an amazing professor! So much energy and so funny. Best class ive taken at Middlebury hands down!
