Evaluation Comments for Fitzsimmons, J

  1. Fitzsimmons is great! He's awkward and quirky but very genuine. He really knows his stuff and is passionate about the subject, which comes through in his lectures. HIs energy is great! The material is really interesting for anybody interested in the subject and the coursework wasn't bad at all. However, I have my doubts about his math skills seeing as lots of kids who averages high 90s on all the coursework ended up with an A- which is a shame in a class so easy. Still, I'd recommend it - just don't treat it as a throwaway "easy" class.
  2. Take this class, Fitzsimmons is a fun guy and a fair grader. Readings are all interesting and the discussions are lab-based and not just round-table talks. 4 response papers, 2 exams (mid-term and final, both worth 30% of total grade). Take it.
