Evaluation Comments for Fernandez, M

  1. Fernandez is outstanding. He is extraordinarily friendly, fair, and funny. We started every class with an informal discussion of, well, anything. Everyone would end up talking, and somehow Miguel would have the whole class laughing at some point. He is a slightly tougher grade than other Spanish teachers I've had (Saldariagga, Highfield, Santiago), but he grades fairly instead of doling out A's. The class is still quite easy, but to get the A you'll have to put in a little bit more. Fernandez is, in my opinion, one of the best teachers at Middlebury.
  2. Fernandez is an extremely fun professor. He encourages everyone to talk and participate, allowing the class to do be dominated by a few people. class is not to challenging. Lots of workbook excersizes, but helpful when comes to exams
  3. Prof Fernandez is amazing. He not only comes to class prepared with interesting and relatable topics, but he takes the time to know each student, encouraging all to participate in a friendly atmosphere. I really recommend him!
