Evaluation Comments for ugaz

  1. Jimena is a great professor, and this class was pretty balanced. There was just enough work to learn something, but it wasn't overwhelming. Jimena is great at allowing the students to do most of the discussion; at the same time, she provides the necessary guidance to understand the reading. If you like Spanish, you'll like this class.
  2. Jimena is absolutely amazing. She is the best Spanish professor I have had at Midd. She requires active discussion from all members of the class and will sometimes catch you off guard. However, she makes the environment in the classroom so welcoming and engaging. When grading papers, she definitely is a bit tough on grammar, but I found that as the course progressed, she was not as tough. I would take another class with her in a heart beat.
  3. Jimena is the shiznit. She is by far one of the most effective/kind/smart/considerate Spanish professors in the Spanish department. Take her if you get the chance. She keeps the work interesting but keep in mind that with Jimena, she makes you work for your grade. She is fair and should get tenure. She has great knowledge and insight in Hispanic Lit.
  4. Ugaz is absolutely amazing. She is incredibly friendly and makes the classroom environment great. She can be a bit of a stickler on grammar when grading, but her grading is fair and most will really enjoy this course with her. I highly recommend it.
