  1. Professor Peterson is one of the most amazing professors i've ever had. He's really nice and is always available if you need help. This course is really interesting, the book is good, and if you do all the homework, you'll be fine.
  2. if you like statistics, or if you have to take this class, definitely take it with bill peterson. he's unbelievable enthusiastic and friendly. he has a great clear, effective way of teaching the material, and hes always excited to help out. the material was really hard (if you're not into math), and i was surprised by how fast-paced the class was. nonetheless, if you're considering this class, take it with peterson-- he's excellent.
  3. First of all, Peterson is very sweet and a good math teacher. He makes himself very available and kind of reminds me of my dad. I did not enjoy this class simply because I found it boring and personally irrelevant. If you're looking for an easy math class, this is it, I guess. The most annoying part is the lab which involves using a computer program that you must use for projects, etc. throughout the course.
  4. Bill Pete is the man, no if ands or buts about it. Nicest guy in the world and always there to answer questions. Knows your name even when you think he doesn't. Problem sets are easy but the material that you need to know is always covered. Some people may get confused and bored with the material, but not in Bill's class, for he teaches with such clarity and excitement and really really knows his stuff. Tests are very manageable if you do the homeworks and listen to his lectures. Bottom line - take this class with him even if you think you may not like stats. At the least, you'll get to know one of the coolest professor at Midd.
