Evaluation Comments for Gonzalez-Zenteno, G.

  1. No Comment
  2. This class has a HUGE creative writing component. Classes were sometimes boring. Writing was fun if you're into it
  3. Really one of the worst classes I've had at Midd. Gloria graded us on whether our stories were "believable" (sorry I don't know the intimate details of running a farm), graded us down for not writing in the voice she wanted, very arbitrary suggestions (which really weren't suggestions, because if you didn't write the story she wanted, you would be marked down). Nothing liked Ricardo's course, which emphasized risk-taking and creativity. She didn't encourage us, she told us what to do. Course also was only reading short stories and writing short stories, nothing like the catalog description, which she admitted to us the first day of class. Find another seminar.
