Evaluation Comments for Mitchell D

  1. The first reviewer honestly has no idea what they are talking about. If you are serious about screenwriting, then this is a very valuable course. Don knows his stuff and is highly effective in sharing his knowledge. Needless to say, this course is about creative writing, so if you'll need passion - those only looking for an "easy A" will be disappointed. Engage the material, get excited about it, and you'll be fine.
  2. Professor Mitchell is a great professor with a great sense of humor. If you want to learn how to write better stories and understand their construction, this course is for you.
  3. Prof. Mitchell has no idea how Hollywood really works and he is extremely theoretical. With that said, his class can be a lot of fun depending on the class dynamics and the students. However, I feel like screenwriting is not something that can be taught in the academic setting and that much of the grading is based on taste and preference. If you are looking for an easy course, take this one, or for that matter almost any in the film department.
