  3. Unless you are planning on majoring in computer science I would definitely not take this class. Labs are incredibly time consuming and tedious. Learning Java also seems pointless if you are not planning on becoming a computer programmer. Bob is friendly enough but in no way does he articulate the subject matter effectively.
  4. This is simply a Java 101 class. If you're interested in computer architecture and hardware, this is not the class for you! Profs. Huang and Martin do cover the history of computers, the internet, hardware, and architecture but you'll feel like all you're doing is staying up until 5AM each night before your Java program lab is due.
