  2. Maria is so passionate about the material and loves teaching however the material can be a little dull. The reading load can be tough but for the most part she will summarize it in class. There is a lot of stuff outside of class such as friday night class dinners and screening. We also went to this church like 2 hours away and also went to the catholic church in town. This stuff is optional however if you dont go you will not do that well in the class. Maria is very approachable and great to talk to about almost anything. I would recommend the class if you are interested in the orthodox church because if you are like me and don't really care, it can be real boring. Overall it is a pretty easy course but the final is tough if you missed readings or dosed off in class.
  3. I came into this class knowing nothing about the Orthodox Church and was able to learn a lot from Maria. She is a lovely lady who truly cares about her students and her subject. Over the course of the semester we wrote two papers and took a final exam.
