Evaluation Comments for Kraus M

  1. I thought the course was very cool. Kraus is very funny. Lots of reading and a few papers that were graded pretty easily. Overall, a good time!
  2. Kraus is a relaxed professor and offers some insights if you're especially interested in the course. However, his expectations on papers are extremely high. Make sure you really work on them with your writing tutors and classmates to make them concise and persuasive.
  3. Kraus is the man! Very relaxed and very smart. He knows how to start a good discussion, and when to interject in a discussion and when to let it go. The class was pretty interesting, a LOT of reading, but I you can sort of get away without doing most of it. I would recommend taking not only this class, but any class with Kraus.
  4. Kraus is the man. Make sure you do at least part of the reading because he can tell if you're bullshitting. And having an understanding of the material is key to writing the essays. The readings are really interesting and most of the time the class discussions are great except toward the end of the term they dragged a little bit. But definitely a great course to take if you've never had any polisci experience before. His grading is pretty fair, just make sure you have evidence to support all your claims.
  5. Kraus has been one of the most amazing teachers I have ever had. His knowledge on the material made this class fun to go to and his grading system helped to greatly improve my writing.
