Evaluation Comments for Paramasivan, V.

  1. Large class, very few grades (final, midterm, a paper), and critical grading. This class should be 200 level instead--it goes very deeply into primary Hindu texts and poetry. Not a relaxed class atmosphere. Take it if you are passionate and very interested in religion!
  2. The class was interesting and there were very few assessments so it wasn't particularly stressful at any point. However, if you are taking this class to fulfill a requirement keep in mind that she is a hard grader and will give you a lower grade if she doesn't think you took the class as seriously as others. If you don't do the reading and participate in discussions, your grade will be lower than if you do.
