  1. The material of the class itself is fascinating, if not a little basic, but that's why it's a film 101 class; it teaches you the building blocks to analyze and create films, and thus the material is invaluable. Dobreva as a teacher is often unenthusiastic and dull, but she certainly knows a lot about the field, it's just that sometimes you need to press her to explain topics in a different or more engaging way. I would take the class with another teacher if I were able to, but I'd certainly take the class one way or another.
