  1. Amazing class. Wells is one of the best professors I've had at Midd by far.
  2. Marion Wells is amazing. She's unbelievably brilliant, but she still remains personable. She is probably the best discussion leader I've ever had, bringing in her own unique perspective to every piece of literature but letting the class do most of the talking. She really listens, clarifies, and extends the students' readings of the texts, and this really fostered a lot of high quality participation. She also does not assign so much reading that you can't think about it in detail, and gives extensive comments on papers. The content of the class itself is a great survey of selected works. Highly recommended.
