  4. Florence is great! I really enjoyed learning German with her.
  5. Few professors are as enthusiastic and kind as Florence, and she's the intellectual equal of anyone at Middlebury. With her, German is fun and rewarding. In addition, the workload is nicely manageable when compared with that of other intro languages. Also, after having met other German professors (Bettina Matthias, Natalie Eppelsheimer) I can say that German is one of the strongest and most personable language departments on campus (the others I've encountered are French and Spanish). Bottom line: take German, especially if you can take it with Florence.
  6. Florance is the bomb. Best prof I've had at Middlebury yet. I quit German but kind of wished I hadn't just so I could keep having her.
  7. Florence is incredible. I would take a class with her every semester if it were possible. She makes learning a new language unintimidating and fun! Her fresh, creative teaching style is great and I couldn't believe how much I learned in just one semester.
  8. This is the most fun I've had in a class so far at Midd. Florence is the perfect professor: fun and energetic, and yet you learn a huge amount in the course. The course had an appropriate amount of HW. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn a language at Midd just for the fun of it.

  10. Florence is hands down one of the best professors you will find at Middlebury. The energy she brings to class each and every day is both palpable and infectious, and her enthusiasm really makes for an exciting class dynamic. Although I took this class at 8am, I never had any trouble getting up knowing that I was headed to German with Florence. Florence ist die beste!
  11. Florence ist die beste! She made every class amazing. Even on days where I could come into class tired, I was immediately energized and engaged by the energy she brought to class. If you have the chance you must take a class with her.
