Evaluation Comments for Berninghausen

  2. I really enjoyed this class. The paintings we look at are beautiful, and outside of the realm of western art. I had to buy four pretty expensive textbooks for this class. Also, be prepared to write three 5-7 page research papers, but if you edit them meticulously you should be fine grade-wise. Overall, there is a lot of memorizing for the exams, but Berninghausen is a Chinese professor so that is to be expected. This is not a super easy class, but Berninghausen is reasonable, very willing to give research advice, and very clear with his expectations. The workload is like a sine-curve: nothing and then a week to write a research paper.
