  1. Patricia completely makes this class. She is great at facilitating discussion and works to get the entire class involved without pressure. She is very laid back and understanding if you need an extension or something. She is obviously genuinely interested in her students and loves to teach. I'm really glad I took this class.
  2. Patricia is a lovely person. The reading and lectures can be boring, but the papers are such that students can choose their own topics of research and really engage with whatever interests them. Patricia also encouraged a warm, friendly class atmosphere. I loved this class. I was afraid to take it because I am not really into poetry, but it ended up being my favorite class of the semester.
