Evaluation Comments for Davis, J

  1. Davis is the best!!! He's super understanding and will give you extensions if you have legitimate reasons. Make sure you talk during class though!
  2. BEST CLASS. The readings were always really interesting and easy to read, and the movies were always fun to watch. The class discussions were really interesting, and I know that they actually affected people's opinions. Professor Davis is the greatest professor. He's funny, engaging, and knows what he's talking about. Although it can sometimes be frustrating when he plays devil's advocate in debates (he nearly always wins), the debates are the best part of the class. My classmates always seemed very interested and engaged, even at 8 am, that's how great this class/Davis are. A lot of people didn't do the readings, although they were fascinating, or skimmed them, and still actively participated in class discussions. This was easily the most enjoyable part of my first semester, more than anything else, even though the times were pretty awful. 1 paper, 1 final paper, and a bunch of readings, but I really wish I could take this every day of every semester.
