Evaluation Comments for Joo, R

  1. The material was interesting, but Joo's way of lecturing is pretty boring. She is, however, extremely nice and always open to helping her students. The workload is pretty easy: a weekly response paper that is a page long double spaced, two 5 page papers, a midterm, and a take home final. Joo is also a very fair grader.
  2. Boring, boring, boring way to present some really interesting material. The professor simple read (in a very nervous way) from her powerpoints. Discussions were painful as she did not facilitate any talking and the big surprise on the first day of class was that we had screenings each week that no one knew about. There wasn't a whole lot of work for this class, just some reading, response papers, and I'm not sure how the exams were supposed to be, but I two were canceled and given as take homes for various reasons. I only wouldn't recommend it because it was taught in such a boring way...
