  2. Ms. Wright is a wonderful person and a very good writing tutor. But not a great professor. We read materials with so much potential for really interesting philosophical discussions and debates, but never truly discussed any of it -- even in such a small seminar setting. Bottom line, this class is about learning to write papers, and she'll definitely help you do that. But I'd suggest making a writing tutor appointment at the CTLR rather than signing up for this class. (PS, we did do a very cool service learning project, which most people enjoyed. But maybe try to find another seminar with a SL component.)
  3. Ms. Wright is an excellent writer, and she will make you a better writer. This class is what you make it. You can choose to invest as much of yourself as you want in it personally because there are many opportunities for reflection (critical and informal). I found it a good introduction to Middlebury and a fun time to boot.
