Evaluation Comments for Cavanaugh C

  1. Cavanaugh was interesting- definitely a nice person but took a little while to get used to her teaching style. This included a very vaguely assigned paper that consequently was graded harshly, but after things were straightened out the grading was fair. It also helps that the subject matter itself would be nearly impossible to screw up. Kurosawa is a a god and you should take this even if you don't like Cavanaugh, Japanese, or film.
  2. take it for the films!
  3. Please don't take this course if Cavanaugh is teaching it. She treats you like middle schoolers, and assignments require no original thought. Kurosawa's films are incredible, but not when she's spoon-feeding misinformation about them. Watch the movies, avoid the professor.
  4. If you're inspired by everything useless and self-loathing in the world, this class is for you!
